Topanga: Do you think this is funny?
Cory: No, I think it's the opposite of funny. I think it's... wood.

Beautiful. This picture is very emotional for me. I feel like crying..

I'm proud of our troops. We miss them and pray that they are safe.

"A work of art is the trace of a magnificent struggle." -Robert Henri
This is what's missing from the majority of military photography: people. Anyone can shoot a landscape or a piece of machinery, but the greater story is the men and women who make up our forces. Bravo.

Drugs are bad. Gene Simmons says so.
I wouldn't call Russ Bryant a friend of mine because he can be such an arrogant ass... but I've known Russ for years.

After a bad low alt jump in the Rangers, he went to photo school and then became the "official-unofficial" photographer for them. He's shot some awesome stuff, but I have yet to see him capture the behind the scenes emotion like you have here.

Great work.

"One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality as an even greater illusion than the world of dreams." ~ Salvador Dali
thank you very much for that compliment...it truly means a lot to me. i think it is pretty important to get images like this out, for the whole story of the soldier to be told.
